Gold Steed Atelier Accessories is a Hong Kong based jewellery workshop. Their founder Chris Li is a Hong Kong artist whose pursuit of craftsmanship has seen him study extensively across Australia and Europe. Gold Steed Atelier is his contribution towards maintaining a vibrant and local community. The company’s core value is a nod to tradition while paving the way for a new generation. They intend to make beautiful handcrafted jewellery that celebrates imperfection and redefines tradition. We were approached by the founder to reimagine the packaging design of their ready made jewellery collection.

To visually present their signature technique is making hand crafter floral shape silver jewellery, we have used lined illustration of orchids in the whole outer of the packaging. The shape of the box is a reconcile of the founder’s interest of mixture of western and eastern culture, a Chinese food take-away box that you can always see in New York City. The tonal foil stamping on the paper choice of blue is a subtle way of shine that makes contrast of the product as well as stands out the shiny effect of the jewellery.
